We’ll say this about President Barack Obama – the man has style, and he seems to know it.
A Washington Post blogger reports that when American money man Warren Buffett arrived at the White House yesterday, the president noted that his tie was a little frayed:
What do you give one of the richest men in the world when he comes by? If you’re the president and your visitor’s tie looks a little frayed, then you pull out one of your own and give them one. That’s what happened today, when Warren Buffett showed up at the White House for an unannounced visit to the Oval Office with President Obama.
According to a White House official, who wanted to remain anonymous when commenting on a billionaire’s attire, Obama noticed the tie, which was a bit worn around the edges, and gave Buffett one of his own, a red number.
“, has a reputation for being a low-key guy who doesn’t care too much about his appearance. He’s a wise and balanced investor who loves bridge and even invites ordinary people to play with him from time to time. Maybe it’s no surprise that he clings to the ties he loves until they’re past their expiration date.
Count on Mr. Obama to dress him properly for the cameras. Even so, from the look of this photo, he kept a dapper number to himself. Red paisley is cool, but we prefer the bold blue stripes.
investigated Mr. Obama’s connections during his first 50 days in office and found he preferred the “Democratic Blue,” which he wore 42.5 percent of the time. So what is he trying to say about Mr. Buffett,
, giving it red?
