Splash Car Wash innovates on the new Express site

MILFORD, Connecticut., September 13, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Splash Car Wash, headquartered at Milford, Connecticut, today announced that construction has begun on a new express car wash in East Haven. The site will be state-of-the-art with a 125-foot washing tunnel and 20 self-service vacuums, which will be offered free to Splash customers.

Construction is supervised by Glen sheeley, director of development and construction for Splash. Glen, along with his father Wayne, recently built two Splash-owned express car wash sites, which operate under the Wash Co. brand and are located in Middletown and white plains, New York. “We are delighted to bring the Splash / Wash Co. Express concept to the Eastern Haven Marlet. Our last two recent conversions and acquisitions have been express washes, and we plan to add several more in the near future, ”said Sheeley. Marc Curtis, CEO of Splash, added “We are excited about this new addition that will allow us to better serve the largest New Havre Region.”

In december 2020, Splash acquired EcoWash, a car wash operator with two express locations located in Plattsburgh, New York and Williston, Vermont. Splash is currently in the process of adding free self-service vacuums, as well as upgrades to tunnel equipment at both of these locations. “We have invested more $ 8,000,000 in our existing facilities over the past 24 months ”, added Marc Curtis. “We want our operations to continually use the latest car wash technology to provide our customers with the best possible experience.”

Upon completion, Splash will operate 25 washing tunnels in Connecticut, new York, and Vermont, as well as six oil change centers. Splash has partnered with Palladin Consumer Retail Partners, a Bostonbased investment company, in November 2018.

Splash Car Wash was launched in 1981 by Marc Curtis and Chris Fisher with a single location in Greenwich, Connecticut. Since then, Curtis & Fisher has developed over 35 locations and currently operates car wash tunnels in Connecticut, Vermont, and New York. Many sites include cosmetic operations, six sites offer oil change services, and one site has a laundromat.

Splash has been named “Best Car Wash” by numerous publications over 35 times and has been recognized as “Top 10 Workplaces” six times by Hearst Publications. Four general managers employed by Splash were recognized as “Most Valuable Carwasher” by Professional car wash and retail magazine.
