Nottingham: Men hit each other with metal poles in front of car wash

A mass brawl was filmed as men hit each other with metal poles outside a car wash.

Video shows a brawl that broke out on Nottingham Road in Basford, Nottingham, around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday July 27.

The images were posted online on Facebook and Instagram and launched a police investigation, according to Nottinghamshire Live.

It shows a group of men punching each other next to a car as other men attempt to hit each other with what witnesses described as metal poles.

At the end of the video, a group of men enter a BMW before appearing to walk away from the scene.

Men are seen throwing punches and trying to hit themselves with metal poles



Eyewitness Si Clark said, “From what I saw, the boy in the blue BMW came out and started attacking some of the boys. It all started from there.”

He added that one of those involved had a metal bar and was using it in combat.

A person also appears to pick up a cone during the altercation.

Their investigations are ongoing and officers would like to speak to anyone in the area around 10:30 am.







Police opened an investigation into the incident on Tuesday









The fight took place in front of a car wash and the cause of the argument is not known



Nottinghamshire Police Chief Inspector Paul Hennessy said: ‘This type of violence will not be tolerated by Nottinghamshire Police and we are currently working to identify all those involved in this incident.
